2009 Cross-Country Trip

We've been planning a road trip in 2009 to broaden the reach of Peak Moment, especially to include specific people and stories that are located beyond the West Coast. In November 2008 we took a short shakedown cruise in the mobile studio, where we in taped our first conversation in the cozy indoors studio, and got even more enthusiastic about the trip. Please join our continuing Friend-Raising campaign to build a personal network, and Fund-Raising to cover travel costs—and heartfelt thanks to everyone who's responded so far!

We’re excited about what we’re doing, but only with your participation can Peak Moment Television be sustainable. So far, we’ve financed Peak Moment through personal savings and DVD sales. Now we’re turning to you, our circle of friends and supporters, for financial help. We're aiming to raise $50,000 for the 2009 trip.

We know this is a time of economic challenge for many. Yet if each viewer shares in the financial support, however modest, together we can bring these important and timely information into the world.

We're Friend-Raising and want your input . . .

• Friends to suggest topics, people and projects to videotape. We're especially interested in how-to topics like building a rooftop garden, or do-it-yourself rainwater collection.
• Friends where we can park for a safe, brief stopping point (and maybe replenish water and electricity).
• Friends to help coordinate tapings in their region (and orient us to their community, etc.)
• Friends to organize our making a presentation using Peak Moment videos, and/or meeting with their group(s) about relocalizing activities.

The Wish List

We’re looking for in-kind donations — gifted or discounted. We need solar panels, an inverter, charge controller, and supplemental braking system for the "toad" behind the mobile studio. We’ll gladly acknowledge you on our website and in our repeating program credits.
